The Fundy Lacrosse Association recognizes that sometimes it can be difficult to pay for youth sports and factors outside of our control sometimes limit our ability to provide opportunities for our young athletes. To help we have partnered with multiple financial aid programs.
Jumpstart programming has been helping kids play sports for years. This is a nation-wide program that offers support to thousands of athletes annually.
Applications for assistance can typically be submitted from January 15 to November 1, with the goal of distributing funds over Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter activities so children in need are given an opportunity to register for sports and recreation programs.

KidSport provides grants to kids (aged 18 and under) from families facing financial barriers so they can participate in registered sport programs and experience the lifelong benefits of a season of sport. KidSport New Brunswick provides grants of up to $400 per eligible kid, per year (January 1st - December 31st) towards sport registration fees. They have seasonal deadlines for their application: January 31, May 1, and September 30.
If the child needs equipment, KidSport New Brunswick will make a referral to a partner agency. Grants are intended to be used for sport registration fees. Travel and competitions are not eligible for funding. P.R.O. Kids (Positive Recreation Opportunities for Kids) is available to Greater Saint John Area children & youth who, due to financial limitations, would otherwise be unable to participate in art, culture, recreation or sporting activities. P.R.O. Kids enables more children to experience the many benefits of recreation and will assist with the cost of uniforms, equipment, registration and more.
